Free download WordPress MU 2.6.3

The 2.6.3 version of WordPress MU is now available for download:

Download .zip Download .tar.gz

Install

  1. Unzip into your web directory. It’ll create a wordpress-mu-… directory, change that name to wpmu or copy the files to the root of your webserver.
  2. Open that location in your browser through your webserver. Follow the instructions.
  3. If you run into any trouble configuring your web server or WordPress MU, then read the README and browse the support forums.

Upgrading

If you are upgrading from a version earlier than 1.2.4 please note that all the functions previously found in wp-content/mu-plugins/ have been moved into wp-includes/wpmu-functions.php. Please remove the files in wp-content/mu-plugins/ to avoid any potential conflicts and errors.

  • Apache mod_rewrite – if you had WP installed already with fancy URLs then you should be fine.
